After I blocked in these two young grizzlies, I decided to paint them, and then paint the two professional bulls I talked about last week. I really get in a mindset, and I cannot break it no matter what I do. I knew that if I didn’t paint them while I was so inspired to do so, I would start the bulls and then while painting them, think about the grizzlies. I don’t like to do that, as I want to give each of my subjects undivided attention.
I still have a day or two before I can say I am finished with this painting, like painting the sky, highlighting the grass, bringing the fur out of the grizzly on the left, painting the faces, eyes, claws, and hone-in to whatever sticks out in the end. Well, I’m on a roll now, so I have to get back to painting. See you next week.
